The American Textile History Museum participates in community events all over our region. Visit us at our booth for some textile fun and chat. Our activities feature textile demonstrations, such as flax processing, spinning, and weaving, and crafts for kids-of-all-ages. Look for us at the following events:

- 9/27&28 – Bolton Fair, at the Fairgrounds at Lancaster, MA
This is the 126th Bolton Fair, and their fifth year at their new location at The Fairgrounds, just over the Bolton line into Lancaster, MA, on Rte. 117. We’ll have lots of crafts and demonstrations going on. The fair itself starts on Thursday, Sept. 25th; we’ll be there over the weekend.

- 9/27 – Colonial Faire and Muster of Fyfe & Drum at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, Sudbury, MA 10-4 PM
This old time colonial fair and muster, attended by thousands, honors and celebrates Sudbury’s colonial heritage and patriotic past. See us in our colonial garb, along with re-enactors, living history exhibitions, fife and drum corps and militia activities, along with period crafts. The organizers strive for authenticity. - 9/27 - Byam Road Farm Fair, Barrett-Byam Homestead, 40 Byam Rd., Chelmsford, MA 12-4 PM
Visit us for spinning demonstrations at this 17th century home that houses the Chelmsford Historical Society, down a quaint country road. This event celebrates Chelmsford’s past and present farmers with an art show, museum tours, honey and cider-making, plus hay and pony rides.

- 10/3-13 – Topsfield Fair, Topsfield Fairgrounds, Topsfield, MA 10 AM-10 PM (4-10 PM on 10/3)
With a 186 year history, this major fair has it all – animals, agriculture, shows, live entertainment, food, and fun. Visit our booth for demos, crafts, and fun – though we will close up shop by about 6 PM daily, the fair continues into the evening for entertainment, rides, and excitement.
