The American Textile History Museum offers unpaid internships in several departments. The Museum staff will work with a candidate to customize an internship or practicum that achieves the students goals while fitting the Museum's needs and capabilities. A list of intern opportunities is listed below. ATHM is not able to provide stipends or housing for interns.

Internship Openings

Museum Education Intern:

The Intern will assist with all aspects of the Museum’s educational program. This will include assisting teachers with school-age programs in the classroom, preparing program materials and spaces used for programs including set up and clean up and maintaining database of schools. Interns will also participate in Outreach events. Preference is given to undergraduate senior or graduate student in History, Art History, American Studies, Education, and/or experience in museums. Museum Education Interns

Library Intern

The Library serves as the focal point for researchers, students and others who seek information pertaining to textiles and textiles and the textiles industry. The Library Volunteer assists the Librarian with general library related projects including cataloging, moving and shelving books and research.
