Volunteer Opportunities

Are you skilled in the arts, textiles, education, or have a specialized talent to share? We would love to hear from you! Volunteers are currently being accepted in a variety of positions. A commitment of two hours per week is required. ATHM is looking for Gallery Volunteers for ATHM’s upcoming special exhibition, Fiberart International 2013, on view July 11-October 26, 2014. Gallery Volunteers greet the public, provide an overview of the exhibit, and make the visitor experience a pleasant  one. The following is a sampling of our volunteer opportunities.

Library Volunteers:

The Library serves as the focal point for researchers, students and others who seek information pertaining to textiles and textiles and the textiles industry. The Library Volunteer assists the Librarian with general library related projects including cataloging, moving and shelving books and research. Library experience will be helpful.

Education Volunteers:

Volunteers are needed to assist with Museum Education outreach and programs.

High School Students:

The American Textile History Museum welcomes the participation of area High School students. Volunteers perform a variety of duties in the Museum Education department.
