Make a Blanket Day for Project Linus

On Saturday, October 23, the New England Quilt Museum (NEQM) will host its semiannual Make a Blanket Day for Project Linus at the American Textile History Museum.  This is the second year that NEQM is hosting the event in conjunction with America's largest day of doing good, Make A Difference Day, the fourth Saturday in October.  Museum members and friends and area guilds are invited to bring their sewing machine and join the team of Project Linus Blanketeers to assemble quilts for seriously ill children.

Janice Binette-Linn, local area coordinator for Merrimack Valley, has been collecting fabrics and will provide the new pattern for our fall Make a Blanket Day, Saturday, October 23 from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM.  She will deliver the quilts to area hospitals where they will be given to seriously ill children.   For more information about being a Blanketeer please contact Rhonda Galpern at outreach@nequiltmuseum.org or 978-452-4207, ext 17; or "Project Linus Jan" at spooliejan@yahoo.com or 978-687-3346.
