The American Textile History Museum participates in community events all over our region. Visit us at our booth for some textile fun and chat. Our activities feature textile demonstrations, such as flax processing, spinning, and weaving, and crafts for kids-of-all-ages. Look for us at the following events:
- 2/9 – "Museum Madness" at Winterfest at the Tsongas Arena, Lowell Dungaree Dolls and Make-a-Snake! 12-6 PM
Come join the fun at our crafts table to make and dress a dungaree yarn doll. Also, make a snake by felting raw wool - copy color patterns of real snakes or design your own. [These activities are part of Lowell's free Winterfest events]
- 2/29-3/2 – Central MA Flower Show at the Worcester DCU Center. We will demonstrate flax processing and spinning at our booth, as well as have a kids' crafts table. www.centralmaflowershow.com
